Job summary

LKQ Corporation seeks a warehouse supervisor to lead daily operations in our Texas distribution center. This role focuses on inventory accuracy, safety compliance, accurate order fulfillment, and efficient warehouse performance.

You will guide a team, coordinate with purchasing, and drive process improvements and space utilization. You will also manage budgets for equipment maintenance, oversee inbound/outbound shipments, and ensure a clean, organized facility that supports on-time delivery of

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in a specialized profession or equivalent with senior lead/supervisor experience.
• Warehouse experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory control policies and procedures to maintain inventory accuracy; including receiving into system, control and audit vendor issues.
• Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse to reflect cleanliness, efficiency and organization.
• Monitor accuracy of bin maintenance, stocking and order pulling to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor expense budgets for repair and maintenance of equipment and overall building expenses.
• Coordinate inbound overseas shipments and communicate with purchasing on shipment errors and inventory needs.
• Oversee recycling center scheduling and delivery of stock transfers.
• Collaborate with satellite managers to ensure accurate delivery of stock orders.
• Adhere to safety standards to provide a safe workplace.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Responsible for all operational activities in a safely manner within the warehouse/distribution center.

Essential Job Duties

• Oversee all inventory control policies and procedures to maintain inventory accuracy; including receiving of all products into system, control and audit vendor issues.
• Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse facility to reflect cleanliness, efficiency and organization.
• Monitor accuracy of bin maintenance, stocking and order pulling to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor expense budgets for repair and maintenance of equipment and overall building expenses.
• Communicate directly with purchasing department on shipment errors and inventory needs and schedules all inbound overseas containers to be received.
• Oversee recycling center to assure correct scheduling of product.
• Work directly with satellite managers on maintaining accurate delivery of stock orders and sold product transfers delivered.
• Comply with all safety standards and requirements to assure a safe and hazard-free workplace.
• Responsibilities can include those duties aligned with shipping and/or receiving.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/GED
• 5 years+ in specialized profession or equivalent; Proficient in specialty including prior senior lead / supervisor experience.
• Warehouse experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and Powerpoint presentations to support business objectives.
• Frequently communicates complex information across departments and interacts with management. Can present, resolve and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time.
• The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
• Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
