Directs the daily execution of all shipping, receiving, and inventory control functions. Manages end-to-end material movement, picking/packing operations, and domestic/international transportation logistics while leading, scheduling, and developing warehouse personnel. Enforces strict safety programs to maintain regulatory and corporate compliance.

Position description – Tasks, Responsibilities, Competencies
  • Leads and schedules warehouse personnel handling receiving, material handling, picking/packing, and outbound shipping operations.
  • Drives operational logistics metrics, including On-Time Delivery (OTD), packaging accuracy, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Maintains safe, organized, and efficient warehouse operations by optimizing space utilization, layout, and inventory labeling for rapid retrieval.
  • Enforces strict OSHA compliance across the facility conducting regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and accident-prevention initiatives to ensure an injury‑free workplace.
  • Assists with the oversight of the forklift and powered industrial truck (PIT) safety program, ensuring all equipment operators are properly trained, certified, and compliant with daily inspection protocols.
  • Executes rigorous inventory control methodologies, including leading the cycle counting program, performing root‑cause analysis on variances, and maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Develops and enforces standard operating procedures (SOPs) for team training, driving process discipline, continuous improvement, and high team morale.
  • Manages transactional order workflows for Returned Goods Authorization (RGA), outside processing operations, and service orders.
  • Oversees the accurate execution and documentation of intercompany and coordinated multi‑site shipments.
  • Enforces the Dover Routing Guide parameters, utilizing the approved alliance partner network for LTL and parcel freight.
  • Identifies and executes cost‑savings opportunities across freight logistics, warehouse operations, and indirect manufacturing materials.
  • Coordinates complex logistics and compliance documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), customs paperwork, and international trade certificates.
  • Conducts all business operations in strict compliance with corporate policies, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • The incumbent proactively prioritizes quality assurance, accident prevention, occupational health, and environmental safety within their scope of authority to actively prevent harm to personnel, equipment, assets, materials, and the surrounding environment.

Work Environment

Work in this position is in an office and a factory floor environment. While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.
