Job summary

Lansing Building Products in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations and inventory control. You will manage personnel, coordinate shipments, and ensure accurate order fulfillment in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires forklift experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work under deadlines while maintaining safety and efficiency. This is a full-time on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse management experience (preferred).
• 3+ years of material-handling experience.
• Forklift certification and experience driving a box truck (preferred).
• Ability to lead a team and/or work with customers.
• Ability to lift boxes and materials weighing 70+ lbs.
• Willingness to adapt to new processes and deadlines.
• High integrity, energy, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage all warehouse operations including personnel.
• Oversee inventory management and cycle counts.
• Coordinate loading/unloading of exterior building products.
• Ensure on-time and accurate deliveries through shipments coordination.
• Hire and supervise warehouse staff and approve schedules.
• Operate forklift and maintain a clean, safe warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Live our mission statement centered on our values of respect, service, and excellence
• Manages all warehouse operations including personnel
• Handles all aspects of inventory management
• Manages the loading and unloading of exterior building products such as siding, windows, and gutter
• Coordinates shipments to ensure deliveries are on time and accurate
• Works alongside warehouse associates in loading/unloading trucks
• Hires and manages warehouse personnel
• Approves associate’s schedules to minimize overtime
• Oversees daily cycle counts for inventory accuracy
• Verifies accuracy of orders picked and shipments received
• Knows how to operate a forklift
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly

Qualifications:

• Prior warehouse management experience (preferred)
• 3+ years of previous material-handling experience
• Forklift certification and experience driving a box truck (preferred)
• Ability to lead a team and/or work one-on-one with our customers
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes and specific building materials weighing as much as 70+ lbs
• Ability to work successfully under the pressure of deadlines and to accept new ways of doing business

• Ability to navigate technology to schedule deliveries and manage inventory
