Job summary

Elliott Electric Supply in Arlington, TX is seeking a storeroom supervisor to oversee ordering, receiving, processing, recording and distributing supplies. You will maintain detailed records and support day-to-day warehouse operations in line with corporate goals and policies.

The role requires safety awareness, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capacity to work in a warehouse environment with ladders and equipment. A pre-employment drug screen is part of the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
• Must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
• Basic math and reasoning skills.
• Certification of power-truck equipment.
• Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices.

Job description

Supervise the operation of a storeroom and all facets including ordering, receiving, processing, recording and distributing supplies and materials; preparing and maintaining detailed records and files. Supports the day to day operations of the Branch providing warehouse management according to the mission and culture while meeting the goals and objectives set forth by the Corporate management team. Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

This is a safety-sensitive position, the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test. This test screens for drugs including amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following the cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The ability to work in a constant state of alert and a safe manner.
