Job summary

Interstate Battery System of America Inc. is seeking a Manager, Warehouse to oversee inventory movement in the Amarillo distribution center.

You will supervise 2-3 warehouse staff, coordinate receiving, put away, picking, packing and shipping, and ensure accurate inventory control and asset protection. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and safety compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse management experience including inventory control procedures
• 3 years of general warehouse operations experience
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
• Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of carrier operations and distribution methods
• Understanding of warehouse safety and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Receive, put away, pick, replenish, pack, palletize and ship goods
• Supervise 2-3 warehouse workers
• Manage inventory quality, accuracy and asset protection
• Develop stock locations and picking strategies to optimize workflow
• Ensure safe warehouse operations and compliance with laws and SOPs
• Operate forklift and train staff in safe use
• Prepare and distribute operational reports
• Fulfill driver program requirements as specified

Purpose of Job:

The Manager, Warehouse is responsible for all inventory movement in Distributorship's warehouse including loading and unloading trucks, supervising 2-3 Warehouse Workers, ordering and handling bi products and Econos and processing cores.

Job Components :

Must be able to perform all warehouse jobs including : Receiving, Putaways, Picking, Replenishments, Packing, Palletizing, and Shipping Directs Warehouse Workers Participates and engages team inthe practice ofcontinuous process improvement Responsible forimplementationofapplicablestandardoperating procedures andaccountable forensuringperformance standardsare met/exceeded Manages inventory quality, accuracy and asset protection Develops stock location and order picking strategies to optimize work flow, space utilization, and labor productivity Ensures thatoperationswarehouse processesare conducted safely and within thelaw and applicablecompliance standards Process inbound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments Prepares and distributes operational reports Operates forklift and trains Warehouse Workers in safe and efficient use of same Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year warehouse management experience including inventory control procedures and inventory/ accounting relationships 3 years of general warehouse operations experience. Superior leadership, management, motivation and teamwork skills Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills Strong organization and time management skills and able to work under pressure Working knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methods Understanding of state, federal and interstate commerce regulations Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required Strong training and coaching skills Have keen understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forkliftMust have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements
