Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Etna, Ohio. The role focuses on coordinating daily warehouse operations, leading a team, and driving continuous improvement to ensure timely shipping and receiving.

The position offers a Sunday through Thursday shift, $18.00 per hour, weekly pay, paid training, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, and employee discounts. Safety and leadership are emphasized for all shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more team lead experience preferred.
• One year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
• One year or more warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner knowledge/experience required.
• Valid forklift operator's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive continuous improvement for efficient operations.
• Perform warehouse tasks: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and assign daily work to ensure optimal shift logistics.
• Inspire team members to improve KPI performance using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and provide tools and information for employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices in the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Submit daily reports and propose actions to improve operations and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
