Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician in Fargo, ND, to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on distribution center equipment and facilities. You will troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and environmental issues, while keeping safety and quality standards top of mind.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, basic tools, and 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Driver’s license required.
• Basic hand tools required.
• 1–3 years of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and environmental experience preferred.
• Journeyman Card is a plus.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and/or replace distribution center equipment and fixtures (floors, ceilings, walls, doors, cabinets, lights, plumbing, electrical, conveyors, batteries and chargers).
• Retrieve down equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks) and return to shop.
• Assist with facility safety, food safety, and code inspections.
• Ensure timely work with minimal disruption to operations; keep work area clean and safe.
• Maintain inventory of facility assets and critical spare parts; document work in maintenance software.
• Support facility security and asset protection; perform other duties as assigned.
