SUMMARY
TheWarehouseMaintenanceTechnicianwill provide hands-on support as needed for all aspects of maintainingthe facility and equipment of the warehouse operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- TheMaintenanceTechnicianperforms a variety of routine and semiskilled tasks involving general maintenance of Feeser’s facilities, equipment, and grounds. This may include but is not limited to:
- Performing preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems (example: replacing evaporative cooler pads, belts, pumps, air filters, etc.)
- Making routine plumbing repairs (example:repairing leaks, unpluggingtoiletsand drains, etc.)
- Dock door and dock plate repairs and maintenance; replacing light bulbs and fluorescent lights/ lightfixtures, and making electrical related repairs (example: replacing electrical receptacles, etc.)
- Performing routine carpentry work (example: minor paint jobs, installing doors, door stops, cabinet doors, tile, adjustable shelving, setting forms for concrete, etc.)
- Making minorgroundsand landscape irrigationrepairs;grading dirtareas;and operating trenchers.
- Assistingwith major site renovations, new construction and special projects as assigned orrequired.
- Review equipment write-ups and assign/prioritize repair
- Computer literate for email, parts lists, and invoicing
- Other duties as directed by Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor and senior management.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to read schematics and parts diagrams
- Experienced in ac/dc electrical circuitry
- Computer experience (Office 365 and windows)preferred
- Understands and follows verbal and written instructions.
- Documentstime and materials used on work order/request forms for assigned tasks completed, challenge vendors as needed for all invoice inconsistencies or discrepancies.
- Inspects work-related conditions todeterminecompliance with prescribed operating and safety standards. Distinguishes colors to repair electrical switches and outlets.
- Detects natural gas leaks, smoke, and pesticides. Operates a truck and other equipment requiring a standard Driver's License to travel to and from work sites.
- Uses equipment and tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, saws, trenchers, augers, and other tools commonly used tomaintainfacilities and associated equipment. Installs and replaces filters, belts, and cooler motors to make repairs, and perform preventive maintenance.
- Cleans work area and equipment such as the maintenance shop, work site, and various hand tools.
- Works with cleaning fluids, agents, chemicals, and paints using normal, routine, and protective equipment to complete work andmaintainfacilities and equipment.
- Perform afterhoursemergency call-out repairs, security checks/verifications, and others as assigned.
- Meets scheduling and attendance requirements.
- Comprehends written materials.
- Understands and interprets blueprints and schematic drawings toassistin making plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Learnsandperformsassigned tasks quickly and correctly through on-the-job training and educational opportunities.
- Learnssafety regulations and practices safety precautions per industry and OSHA guidelines.
- Knowledge of the use and care of commonly used equipment andtools;and basic and semiskilled facility maintenance repair tasks.
- Establish andmaintaineffective working relationships with fellow employees.
- Deal courteously with customers, vendors, and the public.
- Read and interpret blueprints, and other work diagrams with theassistanceofskilledtradesman as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Forklift mechanical experience (Minimum1-3 years)
- Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to (1-3years minimum) construction or facility maintenance trades experience.
- Experienced inAC/DCelectrical circuitry
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Moving self indifferent positionstoaccomplishtasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 100 pounds.
- Remainingin a stationary position, oftenstandingor sitting for prolonged periods.
- Moving aboutto accomplishtasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Mustpossessvisual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depthperceptionand the ability to adjust.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists,handsand/or fingers.
- Operating machinery and/or power tools / Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
- NoisyEnvironments/Hazardousconditions / Poor Ventilation
- Mustpossessvisual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depthperceptionand the ability to adjust.
- Ability to work in temperature varied environments for extended periods of time, ranging from -10 degrees F to 90 degrees F, and handle the demands of the departments.
- Ability to perform manual labor indoors or outdoors in temperature extremes for extended periods of time.
