Ffe-Transportation-Services,-Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Maintenance Technician to maintain the integrity, safety, and efficiency of a temperature-controlled warehouse facility in Lemont, IL.

You will service dock equipment, building systems, and material handling gear to support time-sensitive freight. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, basic electrical/mechanical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot independently in cold storage environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of facility maintenance experience in industrial or warehouse settings.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently.
• Comfortable working in cold storage environments (refrigerated and freezer conditions).

Responsabilités

• Inspect, maintain, and repair dock doors, levelers, seals, and restraints.

• Perform concrete repairs and rack adjustments as needed.

The Warehouse Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the integrity, safety, and efficiency of a temperature-controlled LTL warehouse facility. This role ensures all building systems, dock equipment, and material handling systems operate reliably to support time-sensitive freight in a climate-controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on:
• Dock doors, levelers, seals, and restraints
• Electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems
• Concrete repairs, racking repairs/adjustments
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized repairs
• Maintain facility safety standards, including OSHA compliance and hazard prevention
• Conduct daily facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation
• Support emergency repairs and be available for on-call situations as needed
• Assist with facility upgrades, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of facility maintenance experience in an industrial or warehouse setting
• Basic knowledge electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
• Comfortable working in cold storage environments (refrigerated and freezer conditions)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in temperature-controlled or food-grade logistics environments
• Basic welding or fabrication skills are a plus
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions:

• Frequent exposure to cold and freezer environments (as low as -10°F)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, standing)
