Job summary

Shoppa’s Material Handling is seeking a reliable Material Handler to manage the flow of materials within the distribution center. You will receive, store, and ship goods, maintain accurate inventory records, and keep a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Prior warehouse experience and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in material handling is a plus.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing lists.
• Record and report discrepancies and damages.
• Properly store materials to optimize space and accessibility.
• Perform regular inventory counts and assist with audits.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment per customer requirements.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely.
• Prepare shipping documents and coordinate with carriers.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and adherence to safety guidelines.
