Job summary

Astrolab, Hawthorne, California, is hiring for a warehouse and inventory specialist to support inbound goods, storage management, and production readiness. This on-site role requires coordinating with engineering, production, and procurement teams to maintain stock levels and timeliness.

You will handle receiving, inventory control, and shipping logistics while collaborating across departments to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery of components for lunar systems.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory control, or 2+ years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using inventory management, procurement, purchasing, or ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Incoming goods receiving: Receive goods physically and digitally into our inventory management system.
• Warehouse management: Organize and maintain storage by flight pedigree and quality requirements.
• Production kitting: Pick and kit materials for production priorities.
• Inventory control: Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement to optimize stock and avoid disruptions.
• Shipping and logistics: Package and arrange shipping to suppliers and customers (physical and electronic).
• Cross-functional collaboration: Align inventory activities with project timelines and budgets with engineering, production, and finance.

Department: Supply Chain & Procurement

Location: Hawthorne, California

Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 / hour

What you’ll do

• Incoming goods receiving: Receive goods physically & digitally into our inventory management system
• Warehouse management: Organize & maintain the physical storage of our direct and indirect goods by flight pedigree and other requirements compliant to our quality management system
• Production kitting: pick & kit to production materials and components necessary to execute on our production priorities
• Inventory Control: Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure optimal stock levels and avoid disruptions in production
• Shipping and Logistics: Physically package and electronically arrange the shipping out of components to suppliers and customers
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and finance teams to align inventory control activities with project timelines and budgetary constraints

What you’ll bring

Basic Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory control, or 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
• Experience using Microsoft Excel
• Experience using inventory management, procurement, purchasing, or ERP software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using NetSuite
• Experience supporting procurement, purchasing, inventory, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing, technology, aerospace, or similar industry
• Experience managing multiple projects or priorities while meeting established deadlines
• Experience analyzing inventory, purchasing, or supply chain data to identify and resolve issues
