Job summary

Global Sports Jobs Limited is seeking a warehouse associate to support loading, repacking, inventory, and maintenance. This labour-intensive role uses a forklift and pallet jack to build loads and prepare trucks, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager, the role assists with warehouse activities including loading, repacking, inventory, and maintenance. It is a labour-intensive position that loads bulk and route trucks, with attention to loading outgoing and unloading incoming trucks. The role builds loads from order sheets using a forklift and electronic pallet jack, ensures accuracy in loading and compliance with shipper/receiver documentation, and follows warehouse instructions while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Work may take place across several weather conditions and involves repeated lifting of high volumes of cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in warehouse activities including loading, repacking, inventory, and maintenance.
• Load bulk and route trucks, with attention to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks.
• Work from order sheets to build loads using a forklift and electronic pallet jack.
• Ensure accuracy in loading, comply with shipper/receiver documentation, and follow warehouse instructions when building loads.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Load trucks by selecting designated packages and flavours of products from the warehouse and loading them into the bays of a route truck.
• Ensure product is rotated on trucks and in the warehouse following expiration dates.
• Clean and repackage product as set forth by RBDC standards.
• Dispose of damaged or Out of Code (OOC) product once approved by the Operations Manager.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness by disposing of trash nightly, sweeping floors daily, and using a floor scrubber periodically.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds of inventory and/or advertising displays.
• Ability to lift a very high volume of cases of product per day from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly during a long work period.
• English language proficiency.
