Job summary

Quirch Foods in Hammond, LA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to inspect incoming shipments, operate forklifts, and keep the warehouse orderly and safe. You will work with scanners, support inventory counts, and help process receipts and shipments.

The role requires ability to read labels and instructions in English, physical stamina to lift up to 100 pounds, and a safety-minded approach. OSHA awareness and forklift experience are preferred; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend English sufficiently for job tasks.
• Ability to operate various forklifts and handheld scanners with training.
• Familiar with CK31 & CK71 scanner is a plus.
• Forklift and OSHA certification preferred
• Ability to work in a cold environment and lift up to 100 pounds

Responsibilities

• Inspect products being received for damages.
• Operate forklift and electric pallet jack as needed.
• Keep warehouse organized and clean.
• Perform inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Scan and send received P.O. documentation to accounting.
• Pick POS orders for customers picking up product.
• Stock rotate products and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Receive trucks timely and load/unload per P.O. requirements.
• Process and restock returns as necessary.
• Slot products in rack system and maintain asset security.
