Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits in Durango, CO is seeking a Warehouse Loader to build and load loads accurately and efficiently. The role requires safe operation of forklifts and adherence to load sheets while maintaining accuracy.

You'll join a team focused on reliability, safety, and customer service, working full-time in a distribution setting with potential overtime and seasonal peak times. Previous warehouse experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a warehouse and/or distribution environment.
• 21+ years of age preferred.
• Previous experience operating a forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loading route vehicles according to load sheets.
• Ensuring the product is counted and tagged with account information for accurate loading.
• Operating warehouse equipment including forklift, lift gate, dock-leveler and wrap machine.
• Ensuring damaged product is reported to management.
• Keeping the work area clean and accessible.
• Safely operates essential warehouse equipment including forklifts and wrap machines.
• Maintains a neat and orderly warehouse to promote safe, efficient operations.
• Maintains favorable working relationships with employees and customers.

Overview

The Warehouse Loader ensures loads are built and loaded accurately in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities

• Loading route vehicles in accordance to load sheets
• Ensuring the product is properly counted and tagged with account information to ensure accurate loading of trucks.
• Operating warehouse equipment, including forklift, lift gate, dock-leveler and wrap machine
• Ensuringdamaged product is placed in its proper area and reported to management
• Keeping the work area clean and accessible
• Safely operates essential warehouse equipment, including forklifts, wrap machines and other automation
• Ensures that the warehouse is kept neat and orderly to promote safe and efficient operations
• Maintains favorable working relationships with employees and customers to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience working in a warehouse and/or distribution environment
• 21+ years of age preferred
• Previous experience operating a forklift preferred

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
• Must be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 pounds
• Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations
• Work may involve repetitive motions, working at varying heights, and exposure to warehouse environmental conditions
• Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak‑season schedules may be required
