Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is hiring a Warehouse Loader at our Windsor Locks, CT facility. This role loads orders onto trailers for delivery to local stores, operates forklifts or pallet jacks, and follows safety procedures to ensure secure handling of goods.

You will work a 4-day week with a Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday schedule, starting at 8 AM (11 AM start on Saturdays). The position includes paid training, benefits from day 1, PTO and potential career progression.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience operating material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Utilising forklifts and/or electric pallet jacks to load trailers.
• Completing inspection of trailers before loading any product.
• Verifying loading of orders by RF handhelds and/or voice headsets.
• Loading full pallets of merchandise into trailers and securing them to prevent damage.
• Performing equipment inspections and completing the related forms.
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weights.

Position Overview

Job Description

Earn $22.00 per hour

4 day work week, one weekend day mandatory

Tuesday ,Wednesday, Friday , Saturday 8 AM (except Sat is an 11 AM start)

You will contribute by:

• Utilising forklifts and/or electric pallet jacks
• Completing inspection of trailers before loading any product
• Verifying loading of orders by RF handhelds and/or voice headsets
• Loading full pallets of merchandise into trailers & ensuring pallets are secured properly to avoid damages
• Performing equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
