Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics in Kentucky is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations at the on-site facility. You will ensure accurate picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control while upholding Crane SOPs and safety standards.

The role requires forklift operation, RF scanning, and the ability to train and direct team members. Strong leadership, reliability, and attention to detail are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; related experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead a team and direct daily warehouse tasks.
  • Proven reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises team members and coordinates daily warehouse activities.
  • Ensure accurate picking, packing, and loading of client orders.
  • Perform inventory checks and adjust records as needed.
  • Operate forklift and RF scanning equipment following safety procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, security, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Train employees on proper handling and Crane SOPs.
  • Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately.

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Subject Matter Expert in both processes and technology applications and hardware with high familiarity with certain clients or projects.
  • Model example of CWW values and standards, fosters a positive work climate and encourages teamwork.
  • Directs the work of other team members as instructed by the team supervisor.
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making within the bounds of direction given by the team supervisor.
  • Advises and trains employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped.
  • Ensures customer orders are picked, checked, and packed accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Performs inventory counts as directed and makes adjustments when needed and authorized.
  • Monitors compliance with safety and security procedures.
  • Delegates warehouse housekeeping duties and ensures they are performed daily.
  • Maintains compliance in all areas pertaining to Federal and State regulatory agencies.
  • Fills client orders safely, efficiently, and within Crane SOPs.
  • Operates a forklift or other drivable warehouse equipment including high‑reach vehicles.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves or into vehicles by hand, forklift, or other equipment.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials.
  • Scans freight via warehouse management system with RF equipment.
  • Completes required paperwork thoroughly and promptly.
  • Performs housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Accurately and courteously loads client merchandise.
  • Job requires presence on‑site at the assigned work location.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand.
  • Job requires presence on‑site at the assigned work location.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Three or more years of related experience.
Certifications & Licenses
  • Forklift certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Other professional certification may be required in some areas, as assigned.
