Scholastic is seeking a full-time Warehouse Lead / Lift Operator for the Maumelle, AR area. The role supports the local branch team with 2nd shift operations, including training new hires, leading a small team, and coordinating daily production tasks.

Pay includes base hourly rate plus shift premium for late-day to early-morning hours. The position requires stand-up forklift experience, the ability to read English safety documents, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Stand-Up lift experience required (Hi-Lo, Cherry Picker, etc).
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency with minimal errors.
• Strong team player with good verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Direct a small team in one or more warehouse functional areas.

• Lead daily start-up meetings and coordinate wave production planning.

Job Description: Position: Warehouse Lead / Lift Operator Location: Maumelle, AR Schedule: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday to Friday During off Peak Winter and Summer period this position is required to work day shift hours Pay: $17.50 plus $1.50 Shift Premium pay per an hour for hours worked between 2:00 pm and 6:59 am!!

We are currently in search of full time -2nd shift Warehouse Lead with Stand-up lift Operating experience, to support our local branch team in West Chester, OH.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with new-hire orientation and train associates on all Product Coordinator – Level I, II, and III functions. Under the supervision of a warehouse supervisor or branch manager, direct a small team of associates in one or more functional areas of the facility, i.e., Case Production, Table Production, UPS, Fair Finishing, 2nd shift, etc. Assist the warehouse supervisor to train, coach, mentor, and motivate the warehouse team. Serve as designated branch trainer, for all new processes, procedures, etc. Assist the warehouse supervisor in planning and presenting branch or departmental daily start-up meetings Serve as a subject-matter expert for Labor Data Collection and assist the warehouse supervisor to ensure associate Labor Data Cards are completed timely and accurately. Assist the warehouse supervisor in planning and coordination daily Wave production planning. Lead Special Projects as needed. Support the branch team by driving continuous process improvement for all warehouse functions. Perform basic supervisory tasks (excluding formal performance management) in the temporary absence of the warehouse supervisor. Monitor warehouse supplies and equipment and notify the warehouse supervisor or branch manager when supplies are low or reorders are necessary. Ensure that all warehouse equipment and tools are properly utilized to increase productivity, efficiency, and safety; report any unsafe conditions, damaged equipment or injury (to self or co-worker) to your supervisor or manager immediately. Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects, climbing ladders and pushing/pulling display cases. Accurately and timely complete Labor Data Collection Cards to according to company standards. Operate motorized pallet jacks, stand up forklift and Hi-Lo, Cherry Picker equipment upon successful completion of the SBF power equipment training program. Maintain a courteous and positive relationship with all co-workers and customers. Drug and alcohol-free policy compliance. Other duties as assigned.

Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and direct other employees. Forklift experience is required (If certified – must be at least 18 years of age).

Must be able to accurately follow specific instructions for multiple detailed assembly processes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
