Job Description: Warehouse Lead at Guest Supply

Job Summary

In collaboration with the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Lead determines daily workload, sets priorities, and directs the team to meet daily objectives while providing excellent service to the Company’s Distribution Centers, Customers, and Suppliers. The role involves maintaining positive relationships with management and employees.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Supervisors to determine daily, weekly, and monthly workloads.
• Lead and assist team members in daily operations to meet objectives.
• Help employees with exceptions and problem resolution.
• Perform warehouse duties such as unloading/loading shipments, put away, replenishment, receiving, product selection, and item counts.
• Communicate issues or suggestions to the Supervisor.
• Train and evaluate new employees, re-train as necessary.
• Ensure duties are performed accurately and efficiently.
• Assist management with safety initiatives and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: 2-5 years in warehouse operations, including import/export, shipping, receiving, and inventory control. Familiarity with OSHA regulations.

Skills:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and professional skills.
• Ability to write reports, respond to questions, and work collaboratively across departments.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with warehouse systems like High jump/PeopleSoft, RF devices, and WMS is preferred.
• Certification on warehouse equipment required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, and operate warehouse and office equipment. Lifting up to 50 pounds and assistance for heavier loads may be required. The environment includes warehouse conditions with potential exposure to humidity, cold, heat, and noise. Limited travel and shift flexibility may be necessary.
