Job summary

Berkshire Production Supply LLC in Portland, OR is seeking a Warehouse Lead to support warehouse operations, coach staff, ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping, and uphold safety standards.

This role requires forklift experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs; training on forklift will be provided. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to improve efficiency and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• Leadership experience in a warehouse setting is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, up to 70 lbs.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and coach Warehouse Associates.
• Assist in resolving customer or team issues.
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup (pick, load, pack, ship).
• Sort and place materials according to standards.
• Receive and process warehouse stock and perform cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Follow quality service standards and company procedures.
• Assist with emergency vending deliveries.
• Operate a forklift (training provided).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for assisting in the operational efficiency of the warehouse. This individual will work closely with the Branch Manager and staff to ensure product is stocked based on customer demand and the warehouse meets all safety standards set forth by the company.

The employee in this role will be in a physical or moving position and will need to communicate with others through listening, talking, and writing. They will frequently walk, sit, lift, or stand for extended periods.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, train, and coach Warehouse Associates.
• Assist in resolving any customer or team related issues.
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (pick, load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store) and complete cycle counts.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with company procedures, rules and regulations.
• Assist with emergency vending deliveries.
• Ability to run a Forklift. Training provided if applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

THE MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Previous experience in a leadership role
• Experience operating a forklift

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal are required
• Work effectively & efficiently independently or as part of a team
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, occasionally up to 70 lbs
• Must be able to frequently stand, twist, bend, and lift
