Job summary

Trinidad Benham Corporation in City of Industry, CA is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coordinate all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring safety, quality and productivity goals are met. The role requires leadership in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor and frontline supervision of daily tasks.

You will manage inbound/outbound loads, ensure FIFO stock rotation, train staff, and complete paperwork. Forklift operation and Track Mobile use are required, with a focus on GMP/SQF compliance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of related manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute all shipping and receiving activities as directed by Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Ensure safety, quality and productivity objectives are met.
  • Coordinate loading and unloading of outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Ensure orders are picked on time by ready ship date.
  • Serve as direct contact to shipping and receiving clerk.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor on product rotation and space allocation (FIFO).
  • Communicate shortages and damages of product.
  • Assist in training of new and existing employees to minimize downtime and damage.
  • Maintain radio communication for loading/unloading efficiency.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately.
  • Operate forklift and Track Mobile; perform daily forklift inspections.
  • Load shipments into trailers; maintain clean aisles and storage areas.

Compensation: $26.00 - $29.50 / hour

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Warehouse Lead position is responsible for coordinating and executing all shipping and receiving activities as directed by Warehouse Supervisor. Responsible for ensuring safety, quality and productivity objectives are met.

  • Ensure efficient and timely start-up of daily warehouse operations in absence of warehouse supervisor.
  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Ensure orders are picked in a timely manner by ready ship date.
  • Serve as the direct contact to shipping and receiving clerk.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor regarding product rotation and space allocation. Ensure first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation is followed.
  • Communicate any shortages and damages of product.
  • Assist in training of new and existing employees to minimize downtime and product damage.
  • Maintain radio communication with other team members for loading and unloading efficiency.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork.
  • Operates a gas or electric forklift in warehouse.
  • Operates Track Mobile in the Rail yard.
  • Performs daily forklift inspections while adhering to established safety procedures.
  • Loads shipments into trailer(s).
  • Maintains clean and organized aisles or racks storage, consolidates partial pallets when needed.
  • Ensure proper placement of rail car(s) by unloading priority.
  • Communicates with management personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs on equipment and facility.
  • Works in partner with Operations Support Specialist in the execution of Cycle Count program.
  • Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
WHAT WE NEED
MUST-HAVES:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Minimum of 6 months to one year or more of related experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Strong computer skills. Excel, Word, Outlook.

  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work well with all levels of employees, whether individually or in a team environment
  • Ability to perform basic math skills
  • Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel.
  • Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
  • Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel
WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

Frequently (more than 75% of time) required to: stand and/or walk, use ladders and climb stairs, bend and stoop, reach, push/pull, kneel and crouch. Lift, carry and/or move items up to 50 pounds, without assistance; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, to verbally communicate; and to hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Frequently (more than 75% of time) exposed to dust and loud noise.

Frequently (more than 75% of time) exposed to machinery and mechanical, moving parts.

Ability to work at heights and in inclement weather.
