Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of warehouse, distribution, or production experience.
  • Lead or informal leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and safety practices.
  • Experience with WMS and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform core warehouse functions including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
  • Provide day-to-day direction to team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Serve as primary floor contact in the absence of a Supervisor.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new employees and ongoing coaching.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust priorities to meet daily goals.
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
  • Use WMS and handheld scanners to track inventory and order status.
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
  • Identify and communicate operational issues to leadership.
  • Assist in process improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Check equipment operation and report maintenance needs.
  • Resolve minor employee concerns and escalate complex issues as needed.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Lead supports daily warehouse operations by combining hands‑on work with team guidance and coordination. This role is responsible for ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and on time, while assisting leadership with training, workflow direction, and process improvement. The Warehouse Lead acts as a resource for team members and helps drive productivity, quality, and efficiency across the operation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform all core warehouse functions including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
  • Provide day‑to‑day direction to team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on the floor in the absence of a Supervisor.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new employees, as well as ongoing coaching for current staff.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust priorities as needed to meet daily production and shipping goals.
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.
  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners to track inventory and order status.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or production environment.
  • Previous experience in a lead or informal leadership role preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and safety practices.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
