Job summary

Cencora is seeking a warehouse supervisor/lead in Louisville, KY to train and guide staff, oversee daily workflows, and manage inventory. You will ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency in order fulfillment and distribution operations.

The role requires at least 2 years in a warehouse setting, strong organization, and the ability to operate material handling equipment. On-site, full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Two or more years of work experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Excellent reading and basic math skills; proficient with English language.

Responsibilities

  • Train warehouse associates in duties, safety, and SOPs.
  • Provide day-to-day tactical direction and guidance to workers.
  • Oversee order filling, receiving, stocking, and returns.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with shipping/receiving.
  • Operate RF devices and forklifts and oversee equipment use.
  • Maintain clean work area and ensure safety compliance.

Job description

This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business.

Shift Details: Monday 1:30PM-Finish, Tuesday 2:30PM-Finish, Wednesday-Friday 3:00pm-Finish

Pay starting at $23.55 per hour + $2.00 shift differential, based on a variety of earning opportunities and referral bonuses.

  • Spends much of the time training warehouse associates in duties and responsibilities and all associates in the safe use of equipment according to SOPs.
  • Observes performance to correct behaviors as necessary.
  • May require use of a radio frequency (RF) device to perform daily tasks.
  • Responsible to assist warehouse personnel with the efficient execution of order filling, receiving, stocking and returns.
  • May oversee shipping and general operations (UPS, emergency orders or general deliveries).
  • Continues to perform as an individual contributor completing advanced tasks and decision making with detailed knowledge of the position and procedures.
  • Provides day‑to‑day tactical direction and guidance to warehouse associates.
  • Responsible for daily workloads.
  • Coordinates and recommends efficiencies to workflow.
  • Manages inventory; including monitoring levels.
  • May use forklifts, reach trucks and/or other motorized equipment to move inventory.
  • Assists in supervision of the department including, but not limited to, assignment of work, manpower needs to cover for associate vacations, and building volume.
  • Participates in associate concerns such as reporting and follow up to supervisor.
  • Utilizes computer system applications for proper operation and reports.
  • Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and state and DEA regulations.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Education: Requires completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education;

Work Experience: Two (2) plus years of work experience.

  • Ability to read and understand the English language to compare and read product descriptions, names and shelf labels.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Have a good overall understanding of DC workflow and can work with minimal guidance.
  • Maintains a clean work area to help ensure that merchandise remains clean and to help prevent work related injuries.
  • Ability to use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred.
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory.
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Must have proficiency to operate reach truck, picker machines, pallet jack, forklift, etc.
  • Maintains appropriate attendance and production standards.
