Warehouse Lead – Land 'N' Sea Distributing (a Brunswick part) – Houston, TX.

Position Overview

Lead warehouse operations for a medium shift (Sunday to Thursday 11:00am to 8:00pm) at Land 'N' Sea Distributing, a full‑service wholesale distributor serving the Marine and RV industries. The role requires overseeing picking, packing, shipping, and receiving activities while ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with company standards.

Essential Functions

• Work with and lead picker/packer personnel to ship orders according to company deadlines.
• Communicate daily with Shipping Supervisors regarding concerns, issues and questions.
• Print, sort, and route orders to the proper zones by priority.
• Train and supervise employees on proper picking and packing procedures.
• Delegate work to shipping staff, clean and maintain work areas, and ensure dock organization.
• Collaborate with receiving staff for zero stock issues and research pick errors.
• Learn and work in all shipping areas: picking, packing, ship station, running orders, running manifests.
• Lead dock personnel to offload trucks and ensure P.O.’s are organized on the dock or racks.
• Maintain the Receiving Log and ensure all receiving procedures are followed.
• Research exceptions on receivers through spot checks and enter data into the system.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
• Prior forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Prior warehouse experience is a plus.

Working Conditions

The job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently), and working on concrete or metal grating walkways. Exposure to high, precarious areas and variable temperatures (hot or cold) is possible in a dusty warehouse environment.

Compensation & Benefits

The starting salary is $19.00 per hour. Pay increases depend on experience, skills, business needs, and location.
