ROLE SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Lead has general responsibility to assist in coordinating and leading all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for directing work assignments in a manner consistent with company policy, expectations and cost objectives. Will assign associates to the area/job they need to do to ensure smooth workflow for customer orders. Provide leadership and instructions to the Warehouse Associates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversees and coordinates Fulfillment Center processes such as picking, packing, shipping, kit building, labeling, order printing and mail sortation.
  2. Directs work assignments to employees daily, assists Supervisor with labor planning.
  3. Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
  4. Acts as a Safety Champion for the Fulfillment Operation. Fully promotes and understands the importance of Safety, holding the team accountable for following processes safely.
  5. Ensures efficient and safe operation of all production equipment and machinery and assists in conducting Monthly Safety Observations and Process Observations on associates.
  6. When necessary, provide daily hands-on direct support in production functions.
  7. Drives compliance with quality and productivity goals in support of warehouse key objectives.
  8. Brainstorms and suggests new ideas on how to improve processes, morale, safety and order accuracy to Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.
  9. Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management; assists in finding solutions.
  10. Trains new and current employees on operational SOPs, Training Checklists, Risk Assessments and Work Instructions.
  11. Ensures the warehouse is clean and orderly; including but not limited to organizing and trash and debris disposal, maintaining all workstations and production areas, sweeping warehouse, and wipe down of equipment.
  12. Additional duties or relevant projects as assigned by the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High School diploma or GED required.
  2. Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  3. Experience with Warehouse Management System.
  4. Computer applications using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and or other computer skills including pulling and interpreting daily reports.
  5. Good visual acuity to inspect products and orders.
  6. Strong time management, organizational, planning and self-motivation skills.
  7. MHE experience or desire to learn MHE.
  8. Must have excellent people coaching skills.

POSITION TYPE:

This is a full-time non-exempt position.

SCHEDULE:

Sunday through Wednesday - 6:30 am to 5:30 pm.

SALARY:

$20/hr.
