Job summary

IWS Group is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Edison, NJ to lead a team of 5–10 staff. You will delegate tasks, coordinate with major carriers, and supervise shipping, receiving, and order prep.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills and experience with warehouse operations. You will ensure safety, efficiency, and accuracy in daily activities, maintain records, and train new hires to uphold performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage workflow of 5 to 10 employees and delegate tasks.
• Communicate with transportation carriers (FedEx, USPS, UPS, OnTrack).
• Monitor shipments via WMS (e.g., Manhattan Scale).
• Oversee shipping & receiving of products.
• Pick and prepare customer orders for pickup or shipment.
• Move and stock merchandise within warehouse.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Set performance goals and deadlines.
• Assess performance and identify improvement areas.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality control.
• Maintain item records and generate reports for the team.
• Train new hires on roles and responsibilities.
• Disseminate information between management and staff.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures; undertake disciplinary actions when needed.

Pay $21.00-$24.00 an hour depending experience

Job description

Manage workflow of 5 to 10 employees and delegate tasks

Monitor all web, warranty, and retail shipments via WMS system (ex. Manhattan Scale)

Management of shipping & receiving products

Pick and prepare customer orders for pick up or shipment.

Move and stock merchandise within warehouse.

Ensure the work area is neat, clean, and organized daily.

Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the company's plans.

Assess the work performance of their employees and identify areas that need improvement.

Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through quality control of goods.

Maintain items record, document necessary information, and utilize reports to project team performance.

Train new hires to make sure they understand their roles and responsibilities.

Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa.

Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures.

Undertake disciplinary action when the need arises.
