Job summary

Rentokil North America is seeking a Team Lead to manage daily order fulfilment and receiving activities, coordinating staffing to hit on-time shipments and quality. You will partner with Inventory, Receiving, Shipping, Customer Service and Sales to develop daily plans.

The role emphasizes supervision, process optimization, SOP development and safety in a dynamic warehouse environment. A forklift cert and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years related experience.
  • 4+ years in a high-mix, medium-volume warehouse/picking role.
  • 2+ years leading a team; forklift certification is required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and JDE; familiarity with RF scanning.
  • Strong communication, supervisory and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create daily team assignments to meet demand and quality targets.
  • Support metrics and propose process improvements to reduce costs.
  • Train others to improve quality, productivity and safety.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, team-based work environment and tour-ready area.
  • Provide reporting on KPIs and collaborate cross-functionally for improvements.
  • Ensure processes stay compliant and productivity meets standards.
  • Monitor daily productivity and adjust staffing as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Responsible for leading and working in the day to day operations of order fulfilment (picking, packing, auditing, wrapping) activities and/or the receiving department processes. A key responsibility will be to ensure staffing is aligned for day to day operations and the delivery of quality, on-time shipments and/or receiving shipments in a timely manner. The Team Lead will work interactively with the business teams (Inventory, Receiving, Put Away, Shipping, Customer Service, Product Sales) as they develop daily plans.

Job Responsibilities
  • Creates daily team member assignments to meet the daily business demands, including quality and productivity targets.
  • Supports metrics and recommends process improvements to increase quality and lower cost
  • Trains others to optimize quality, productivity and costs.
  • Develops, implements and maintains standard operating procedures.
  • Creates, maintain and foster a safe and team-based work environment.
  • Provides reporting on daily, weekly and monthly key performance metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally with all departments to identify, develop and execute on process improvements
  • Maintains operational processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assists in monitoring daily productivity objectives to ensure they are meeting company and departmental standards.
  • Maintains a "Tour Ready" clean and safe work area.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Ideal candidate must be proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel) and operational systems/software (i.e. JDE).
  • Be knowledgeable of RF scan guns
  • Be able to multi-task and perform excellent communication, supervisory and customer service skills
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; possess a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks and resources appropriately. Promote an environment conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and effectiveness
  • A State Accredited High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years professionally related experience is required
  • Bachelors' degree in related field and pervious leadership training/development is a plus
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a high-mix, medium volume, manual pick and pack warehouse / kitting operation
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience leading a team
  • Forklift operator certification

  • Move up to 70 pounds occasionally, and/or up 20 pounds of force frequently, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.

  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed
  • information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds
  • in the environment.
Incumbent is required to have:
  • Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm's reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.
Incumbent will be subject to:
  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
Base Pay Range

Hourly: $18.00 - $25.00

While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
