Marquee Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations, inventory control, and order fulfillment at our California facility. This contract-to-hire role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and staff training as you help optimize cycle counting and material movement.

The ideal candidate will operate forklifts, use ERP/WMS systems, and maintain precise records while collaborating with management to ensure on-time, quality shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of related warehouse or inventory-control experience.
• Strong cycle-counting and inventory reconciliation experience.
• Active forklift certification preferred; must be willing and able to obtain required certifications.
• Experience using ERP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) software.
• Valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming shipments and verify items against shipping records
• Monitor inventory and report stock levels and discrepancies
• Organize inventory, place products in assigned locations, and accurately record VNA locations
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with the annual physical inventory
• Pick and pack products accurately and efficiently
• Load finished orders onto trucks for shipment
• Train and develop warehouse employees

Warehouse Lead Pay: $22.00 per hour Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and the training and development of warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will have strong cycle-counting experience, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of warehouse and inventory-control best practices. This position will assist with inventory movement throughout the warehouse and parking areas, maintain accurate documentation of all transfers, and help ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. The Warehouse Lead will also support management with warehouse-related activities and operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload incoming shipments and verify items against shipping records
• Apply tracking labels to master cartons
• Monitor inventory and report stock levels and discrepancies
• Organize inventory, place products in assigned locations, and accurately record VNA locations
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with the annual physical inventory
• Research and help resolve inventory discrepancies
• Coordinate inventory transfers and other necessary material movements
• Locate inventory for customer orders and internal work orders
• Pick and pack products accurately and efficiently
• Apply custom labels to individual items, inner cartons, and master cartons
• Pack orders and kitted items into the appropriate cartons
• Update shipping documents and carton markings to meet customer specifications
• Assemble, label, address, and prepare packages for shipment
• Palletize and securely wrap products
• Load finished orders onto trucks for shipment
• Assist with complex order-fulfillment activities
• Help train and develop warehouse employees
• Maintain adequate warehouse supplies
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, safety, and physical integrity of the warehouse
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and warehouse safety requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two years of related warehouse or inventory-control experience
• Strong cycle-counting and inventory-reconciliation experience
• Previous warehouse lead or employee-training experience preferred
• Knowledge of forklift operations and warehouse safety practices
• Active forklift certification preferred; must be willing and able to obtain required certifications
• Experience using ERP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) software
• Experience using barcode scanners or other inventory-scanning equipment is a plus
• Strong math, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
• Valid California driver’s license

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Work is primarily performed in a warehouse environment
• Exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and stoop throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to use a computer, keyboard, monitor, telephone, and warehouse equipment for extended periods as required

Compensation and Growth Opportunity

This position pays $22.00 per hour and offers the potential for a pay increase and conversion to a permanent staff position after successfully completing Marquee Staffing’s required assignment hours. Conversion and pay increases are based on performance and business needs.
