Job summary

Parts Authority is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Supervisor to lead daily inventory replenishment, improve productivity, and ensure accurate records across our distribution network. The role focuses on supervising receiving teams, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating cross-functional workflow with shipping and inventory controls.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years of supervisory experience, 1 year of inventory experience, and proficiency with WMS and RF technology.

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Inventory Supervisor is responsible for helping: plan, guide, and direct team members and team leads in an efficient and timely manner to meet the daily inventory replenishment demands, meet productivity expectations and work deadlines, handle administration duties, troubleshooting, problem‑solving, training with all team members.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high level of inventory productivity and efficiency
  • Direct and oversee the inventory process to meet customer deadlines
  • Maintain a staffing level to accomplish the receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Plan and coordinate work, train and motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of receiving associates
  • Ensure the inventory associates are capable of safely operating material handling equipment to move materials
  • Develop crew leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members.
  • Maintain an equipment structure and level to accomplish shipping mission in a safe, effective manner.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies with zero'd product and skipped product.
  • Monitor the flow of paperwork from inventory controls to shipping for timely data entry.
  • Assist in the training of new associates.
  • Maintain excellent cross‑functional and interdepartmental communication.
  • Assist receiving and inventory supervisors to help navigate and prioritize incoming product.
  • Monitor systems and emails frequently to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Keep work areas clean and clear of safety hazards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Staff Management
  • Lead and supervise a team of inventory agents.
  • Counsel, record, and discipline shipping associates as necessary.
Supervise Operations
  • Maintain a meticulous standard for cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the shipping department.
  • Maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that safety and compliance practices meet DOT and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain 5S warehouse principles and administer them on a routine basis.
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety.
  • Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to work weekends.
  • 2-3 years hands‑on supervisory experience required.
  • 1 year inventory experience.
  • Supervisory experience, team building.
  • Experience with WMS/inventory management system and RF technology.
  • Must possess ability to multi‑task and adjust to dynamic order flow fluctuations as needed.
  • Must be a self‑starter and possess the ability to identify areas drifting behind in production and proactively act to get back on track.
  • Experience in tracking metrics, including key performance indicators such as team member productivity.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts preferred.
  • Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must possess outstanding customer relations skills.
  • Strong skills and experience in team/personnel management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated drive to achieve results.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds; stand/walk for up to 10 hours; able to squat, bend and reach; able to climb and descend stairs safely (applies to locations with stairs).
  • Ability to work powered equipment (forklift, cherry picker, etc.).
