Job summary

Stivers Automotive Group in Alabama is hiring an Inventory Clerk to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management within our warehouse operations. You will maintain detailed stock records, process incoming and outgoing shipments, and verify inventory data against physical counts.

Using our warehouse management system and barcode scanning, you will update records, reconcile discrepancies, and support timely order fulfillment while complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
• Basic proficiency with warehouse management systems and barcode scanning technology.
• Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals and shipping labels.
• Physical capability to operate material handling equipment and perform manual inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update inventory records by accurately entering data into warehouse management systems.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move and organize stock.
• Follow established procedure manuals to ensure safety and operational standards.
• Read and interpret barcodes, shipping labels, and inventory reports.
• Calculate figures and quantities related to inventory weights and measurements.
• Divide inventory into appropriate units of measure for tracking and reporting.
