Job summary

nVent is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Receiver in Houston to accurately match incoming shipments against POs, packing slips and invoices. You will operate forklift equipment and enter data in SAP/Oracle or QuickBooks, maintaining real‑time inventory updates.

You’ll manage inbound freight, verify bills of lading and packing lists, and support a clean, safe receiving dock while adapting to shifting priorities and overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail to spot damaged goods, missing items and SKU mismatches.
• Ability to troubleshoot shipment delays or inventory discrepancies independently.
• Clear verbal and written communication with drivers and internal teams.
• Forklift operation certification required for sit-down/stand-up models.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50–100 lbs and stand for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Match inbound shipments to POs, packing slips and invoices accurately.
• Enter data into SAP/Oracle or QuickBooks for real-time inventory updates.
• Operate forklifts and related equipment to move goods.
• Verify and process Bills of Lading and packing lists.
• Maintain clean, organized receiving dock and warehouse areas.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and possible overtime on weekends.
