Job summary

The American Red Cross in Novi, MI is seeking a dedicated Warehouse/Inventory Support to assist the blood collection operation. You will manage equipment and supplies, help maintain inventory, and ensure timely delivery and return of materials to internal and external customers.

No prior medical experience is required; paid training is provided. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM with potential shift differential pay and a path for growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
  • A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
  • Ability to carry moderate weight and lift up to 75 pounds; able to reach, bend, kneel, climb, push and pull in tight spaces.
  • Basic computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage blood collection equipment and supplies including boxes, labels and canteen supplies; prepare blood collection kits per directives.
  • Take inventory and order supplies from the warehouse, maintaining collections' supply and equipment area; fill order requisitions from mobile and fixed sites.
  • Interact in a positive, proactive, customer-focused manner with internal and external customers.
  • May drive blood collection vehicles to load and unload supplies and equipment as needed.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCEFORGOOD(Key Responsibilities):
  • Manage blood collection equipment and supplies including boxes,labelsand canteen supplies.Prepare blood collection kitsin accordance withestablished directives.
  • Take inventory and order supplies fromthe warehouse,maintainingcollections' supply and equipment area. Fill order requisitions from mobile and fixed sites

  • May drive blood collection vehicles to load and unload required supplies and equipment where applicable and as needed
Standard Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday 1:00 PM-9:30 PM
  • Schedule is providedtwo to threeweeks in advance
Pay Information:
  • Starting Rate: $16.32/hour, increasing to $18.76/hour after successful completion of a 90-day introductory period.
  • Additional Pay: Eligible for shift differential for hours worked outside of Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED(Minimum Qualifications):

  • Ability to carry moderate weight isrequired
  • Operational flexibility isrequiredto meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds of weight; reach, bend, kneel, climb, push and pull; work in tight spaces.
  • Abilityto use a variety of hand and power tools and work with a variety of chemicals andsolvents.
  • Basic computer skills arerequired. Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications.
