Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional weekends

Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
  • Direct and oversee all receiving, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely operations.
  • Develop and continuously improve processes for controlled receiving, storage, and shipment of materials and equipment.
  • Schedule and assign warehouse staff, monitor work results, and drive accountability.
  • Maintain daily and weekly operational reports to track department performance and parts distribution.
  • Enforce organizational standards to sustain quality and service levels.
  • Participate in the Export Compliance Committee.
  • Be part of a rotating on-call schedule (approximately one week per month, shared among a small team); call volume is typically low, with occasional emergency requests that may require preparing and shipping critical parts. Includes a daily on-call stipend and additional compensation for responding to emergency service requests.
Inventory Control
  • Manage all inventory control functions to maximize product availability, customer fulfillment rates, and inventory turns in line with sound accounting practices.
  • Establish and adjust reorder points based on cost, supply, demand, sales trends, and product line changes.
  • Conduct monthly inventory meetings to review and respond to inventory level adjustments.
  • Execute monthly cycle counts to verify on-hand balances and maintain accurate scheduling.
  • Run weekly auto-reorder reports and monitor item entries for database accuracy.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop warehouse staff; address performance through counseling and corrective action as needed.
  • Develop and manage the yearly departmental budget.
  • Foster seamless communication between inventory control, production, shipping, and aftermarket sales departments.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Lean Office principles to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field — or equivalent hands‑on experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in warehouse management and inventory control.
  • Strong leadership and team development abilities.
  • Analytical thinking and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Advanced problem‑solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with database report writing tools.
  • Extensive experience with ERP/company operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Lean Office principles.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Comfortable working in variable temperature environments.
  • Able to lift up to 70 lbs. regularly.
  • Able to reach, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.
  • Heavy computer use throughout the workday.
Competitive Benefits
  • Generous paid time off as well as 80 hours of holiday pay each year.
  • Ability to become an Employee Owner. This benefit is fully funded by the company—no employee contribution required—and builds value for you over time based on the company's performance. While results vary from year to year, the ESOP consistently delivers retirement benefits that exceed those of a typical 401(k) match.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance. We provide a company contribution with Health Savings Account (HSA) participation. Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are also available for healthcare and dependent care expenses, regardless of whether you are enrolled in a company medical plan.
  • Company paid Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), and Long-Term Disability coverage, along with supplemental Short-Term Disability coverage (company pays 50% of premium).
  • Voluntary coverages such as additional life insurance, accident insurance and more.
  • Employee Assistance Program. Our EAP offers free, confidential support including legal and financial consultations, counseling services, estate planning, travel assistance, and work‑life resources such as childcare, eldercare, and health advocacy.
  • Employee Referral Program bonus.
  • Educational Assistance.
  • Career Advancement. CPEG is 100% employee‑owned and led by a dynamic executive team of talented individuals who have risen through the management structure.
  • Option to contribute to a 401(k) plan with flexible loan feature—invest in your future while keeping access to your funds if you need them.
  • Cash Balance Pension Plan. We contribute to this retirement savings on your behalf—no employee contribution required. Combined with a guaranteed 4% rate of return, this means you receive a consistent and valuable retirement benefit every year.
