Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain inventory accuracy within a distribution center. You will perform cycle counts, generate inventory reports, and audit systems to support timely shipping and receiving demands. Various sites may require additional support related to recalls and product holds.

The role may involve coordinating quality functions and operating Cherry Pickers, Sit-Down Forklifts, and Stand-Up Forklifts. A detail-oriented, safety-conscious mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; associate degree or two years’ equivalent experience preferred.
• Familiar with ISO or quality program basics may be required.
• Able to operate forklifts and perform accurate inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain perpetual inventory and generate inventory reports.
• Perform daily cycle counts and audits; report discrepancies.
• Coordinate recalls, holds/releases, and quality inspections as needed.

This position is responsible for reporting, physical inventory, and system audits and for utilizing the inventory management system to prepare and track materials and products in preparation for shipping and receiving demands to meet customer needs. Various sites may require additional support based on the nature of the business. This could include, but is not limited to, product holds/releases, recalls, and returns. In addition, specific practices and/or regulations may exist (i.e. food safety). Must be able to operate a Cherry Picker, Sit-Down Forklift, and Stand-Up Forklift.FunctionsMaintain perpetual inventory of materials and products and generates applicable inventory reports.Perform daily cycle count activities and inventory audits and track and monitor all damaged product in inventory; provide necessary reports to leadership.Verify clerical inventory records against physical inventory counts; investigates and reports discrepancies.May coordinate product recalls, holds/releases, product infestation audits.May monitor pest control program if required at site.If responsible for quality functions:Ensure facility is inspection ready at all times (i.e. SQFI, FDA or other customer needs).Facilitates quality/regulated training and coordinates the sites quality management program.Maintains the sites quality management portal and may draft/revise site SOPs as needed.QualificationsHigh School or GED required; associate degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
