Job summary

Ryder is seeking an Inventory Clerk in Columbia, SC to support warehouse operations. You will conduct cycle counts, audits, and inventories while assisting supervisors and teams to maintain accurate stock levels.

The role requires forklift experience, warehouse know-how, and proficient use of Microsoft Office. You will work a Monday–Friday schedule with benefits including medical/dental/vision and 401(k). Start with paid training and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more warehouse experience preferred.
• One year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
• Equipment certification may be required depending on location.
• Ability to recognize and read location, date and product codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented with excellent time management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Audit inbound and outbound shipments.
• Participate in physical inventories as necessary.
• Provide floor support to supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain GMPs with emphasis on safety.
• Ensure inventory accuracy to meet client demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Overtime Pay $31.50 per hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:00PM-10:00PM

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent perferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Depending on location may be required to be equipment certified
• Ability to recognize and read location, date and product codes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
