Job summary

ABB is seeking a Warehouse/Logistics professional to receive and verify vendor documentation, count inventory, and consolidate bulk stock. You will pull and prepare products for shipment, coordinate with Inventory Control on stock issues, and stack pallets while safely operating power equipment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years in distribution, and the ability to lift 40 pounds repeatedly while standing and climbing stairs. Overtime flexibility is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years experience preferred in manufacturing/distribution environment, with ability to read and count inventory accurately.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively and stand/walk for extended periods; climb stairs.
  • Flexible to work overtime with little or no notice.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify documentation, sku numbers, quantities and overall quality from vendors.
  • Stock product from vendors and plants into bulk locations; consolidate products with same SKUs.
  • Pull bulk product, place in pick zones, resolve stock issues with Inventory Control, and prepare for shipment.
  • Transfer cartons, stack onto pallets, and operate power industrial equipment as needed.

This position reports to: Warehouse/Internal Logistics Supervisor

Your Role And Responsibilities
  • Receive and verify documentation, sku #, quantities and overall quality from vendors and stock product from vendors and plants into bulk locations and consolidate product with the same sku #’s in bulk locations
  • Pull bulk product and place in pick zones, consult with Inventory Control in resolving stock issues, and retrieve specified product from pick locations to ship
  • Transfer cartons from shipping lanes to stack onto pallets for loading, meet and maintain department quality/productivity standards, and able and certified to drive power industrial equipment as needed
  • Other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.
Qualifications For The Role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years experience preferred in manufacturing/distribution environment, basic computer skills and understanding of overall distribution operations, and ability to read and comprehend information and count inventory accurately.
  • Ability to work in 3-level modules - Not afraid of height, ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively and frequently, ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time and climb stairs throughout shift.
  • Flexible to work overtime with little or no notice.
