Ryder System, Inc. in Pataskala, Ohio is hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Team Lead to support our facility. You will oversee daily warehouse operations, lead a team, and ensure safety and efficiency.

The role requires forklift experience, leadership, RF scanner proficiency, and strong communication. We offer on-the-job training, health/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, weekly pay, and employee discounts. Competitive hourly wage of $18.00.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year previous warehouse experience preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
• RF scanner experience required/advanced.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work to team members for optimal shift operations.
• Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPI performance using appropriate leadership styles.
• Assist with employee orientation and provide necessary information and tools to perform jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Submit daily reports and propose actions to improve operations and service levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferredKnowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership skills
• Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
