Job summary

American Tire Distributors is seeking a Warehouse II to move product within the warehouse and serve as a back-up non-CDL delivery driver. The role prioritizes order filling, staging, and safe handling of tires and other items weighing up to 150 pounds.

The position requires operating forklifts and related equipment, performing inventory tasks, and supporting daily warehouse closings. Candidates should have a High School or GED and 1–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School or GED degree.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administrative tasks, such as handling and preparation of paperwork. May assist in the daily closing of the warehouse.
• Assist in verifying all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in terms of amount, size and type, informing management of inventory and supply shortages as well as assisting in actual periodic inventory counts
• Compile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of products to vendor, etc. and segregate defective product from normal flow of inventory Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for loading
• Designate and organize the warehouse stock by product line and by physical alignment, allowing sufficient space for overflow
• Load and unload delivery trucks – Lifting products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Handling of tires greater than approximately 50 pounds.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) in a safe manner and maintain an operator license, if required.
• Perform periodic facilities maintenance and/or custodial tasks, such as cleaning parking lot, loading dock and area surrounding building; keeping floors clear of debris, maintaining bathrooms and assisting in daily closing down of warehouse
• Prioritize and pick materials for order fulfillment, staging them for loading.
