Job summary

American Tire Distributors is seeking a Warehouse II associate to support warehouse operations in Kentucky. The role focuses on moving products, picking orders, and backing up non-CDL delivery drivers as needed.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, operating forklifts or pallet jacks, and maintaining accurate inventory. This is a general labor role with a strong emphasis on safety and process efficiency.

Qualifications

High School or GED degree.
1-2 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in administrative tasks, such as handling and preparation of paperwork. May assist in the daily closing of the warehouse.
Verify all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in terms of amount, size and type, inform management of inventory and supply shortages as well as assist in periodic inventory counts.
Compile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of products to vendor, etc., and segregate defective product from normal flow of inventory. Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for loading.
Designate and organize the warehouse stock by product line and by physical alignment, allowing sufficient space for overflow.
Load and unload delivery trucks – lifting products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds; handling tires greater than 50 pounds.
Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers) in a safe manner and maintain an operator license, if required.
Perform periodic facilities maintenance and custodial tasks, such as cleaning parking lot, loading dock, bathrooms, and area surrounding building; keep floors clear of debris.
