Coastal Pacific Food Distributors, Inc. in Puyallup, WA is seeking a General Warehouse Operator to join our perishable department.

The role supports receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and operation of Reach Lifts, Forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks in a temperature-controlled setting. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of warehouse experience, HS diploma, and forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of warehouse experience.
• Experience operating Reach Lifts, Forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks (food distribution a plus).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification is a plus (in-house training provided).
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsabilités

• Order fulfillment: pick, pack, label, and stage customer orders accurately.
• Receiving and material handling: unload, inspect, stock, and organize inventory; load shipments.
• Operate material handling equipment safely (Reach Lifts, Forklifts, Electric Pallet Jacks).
• Maintain inventory counts and basic record-keeping; report discrepancies.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace following company policies and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members and assist with other warehouse duties as needed.

Description Position at Coastal Pacific Food Distributors

Coastal Pacific Food Distributors is seeking one (1), General Warehouse Operator at our Puyallup, WA, Perishable Department. The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in day-to-day warehouse operations, handling receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. This position operates primarily in a temperature-controlled environment and requires the ability to comfortably work in ambient, chilled and freezer settings. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of handling physical demands in a demanding environment.

Rate Of Pay And Benefits

• Starting rate of pay: $24.50 Chill and/or $26.50 per hour Freezer


• 90 day introduction period step increase


• Yearly step increase first 3 years at anniversary

Roles & Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, label, and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently.


• Receiving & Material Handling: Unload, inspect, stock, and organize incoming inventory; load outgoing shipments.


• Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment, including Reach Lifts, Forklifts, and Electric Pallet Jacks.


• Inventory & Documentation: Conduct routine inventory counts, report discrepancies, complete scanning, and manage basic record-keeping.


• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while strictly following company policies and safety guidelines.


• Team Support: Collaborate with team members and perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Work Environment: Ability to work continuously in temperature-controlled environments, including cooler/chill and sub-zero freezer areas (appropriate PPE provided). Ability to work in fast paced warehouse and operate with a keen sense of urgency.


• Experience & Knowledge: 3 to 5 years of warehouse experience; 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience operating Reach Lifts, Forklifts, and Electric Pallet Jacks (food distribution experience is a plus).


• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials for extended periods in a demanding environment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 60lbs.


• Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus (in-house certification training provided). 3-5 years operating warehouse equipment defined in this posting.


• Schedule Flexibility: Dependable attendance with the flexibility to work all shifts including required overtime and weekend all based on business needs.
