Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring Warehouse Associates in Whitestown, Indiana, offering weekly pay and a supportive work environment. Positions include 1st shift hours (6:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday) with overtime opportunities and on-the-job training. Safety gear is provided and the team handles electronics repair parts using RF scanners and pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up/sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks) and maintain equipment.
• Powered industrial truck certification required or pursued.
• Ability to read and perform basic math in English for safety and instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into the WMS system.
• Overtime may be required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning accuracy.
• Train dock staff on new procedures and maintain security at shift end.
• Perform picking and packing; check for product damage.
• Carry out tasks per location policies and procedures.
• Move materials and perform related logistics transactions.
• Participate in team activities to improve warehouse operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.

• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers. Ensure all scanning is completed correctly. Help train dock employees on new procedures. Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping. Perform picking and packing duties. Check for evidence of product or container damage

• Perform the assigned tasks as described in the location's policies and procedures standards to include handling of materials within associated logical transactions

• Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required

• Participate in workgroup and other team activities for the purpose of self improvement and improving warehouse operations and related business functions

• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area

• Performs other duties as assigned
