Job summary

Werner in Appleton, WI, is hiring for a Warehouse (2nd Shift) position. The role supports receiving, packing, order fulfillment, and shipping, with opportunities to handle inventory tasks and contribute to our fast-paced distribution operation.

Starting at $21.00 per hour, with PTO from day one and medical/dental/vision coverage, plus a $1,000 signing bonus and a $2,400 annual bonus. Candidates should have 1–3 months related experience, good communication, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge; use database, inventory, order-processing, and word-processing software.
• Must regularly lift 50-75 pounds and occasionally 75-100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read customer orders, vendor slips, transfers, and RGAs to determine items to move, gather, or distribute.
• Convey materials from receiving to storage or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks or shelves according to sequence.
• Assemble customer orders and place on pallets or at packing/shipping stations.
• Mark materials with identifying information and open containers.
• Pack and verify customer orders; relay discrepancies to proper personnel.
• Count or measure items for distribution and use computer to enter records.
• Prepare requisition forms to order supplies and maintain inventory records.
• Drive vehicle to deliver orders to customers; keep work area clean.
• May assist customers at counter and participate in cycle counts.

• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Open crates and other containers.
• Pack and verify customer orders.
• Verify amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Relay discrepancies to proper personnel.
• Count or measure items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Use computer to enter records or reference stock.
• Compile worksheet or tickets from customer specifications.
• Drive vehicle to deliver orders to customers.
• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
• Prepare parcels for shipment.
• Maintain inventory records.
• Maintain cleanliness of facility and grounds.
• Must have knowledge of Quality Standards and safety measures.
• May be responsible for cleanliness of vehicles.
• May assist customers at counter.
• May be responsible for cycle count.
• Other related duties as assigned.
