Job summary

BWT Logistics is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations in New Castle, DE. The role focuses on safe operation of sit-down forklifts, loading/unloading, and accurate inventory handling using handheld scanners and the WMS system.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of forklift experience, a valid license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Benefits begin after 90 days; overtime and travel to nearby locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years forklift operating experience.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to pass a criminal background check per CBP/TSA regulations.
• Strong attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, transport, and stack materials within the warehouse.
• Safely maneuver equipment in narrow aisles and follow all safety procedures.
• Load and offload trailers and containers.
• Handle bonded import and export cargo and maintain required documentation.
• Verify shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Report damaged items or safety concerns to management.
