Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Elwood, IL is hiring a Material Handler / Warehouse Forklift Operator. The role offers weekly pay and a clear path within a safety-first supply chain environment.

You will work with sit-down forklifts and clamp trucks handling paper products, in a clean, organized facility with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement. Training and benefits begin within 30 days, and PTO is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate with performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.

• Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour


• Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production


• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract


• Performs other duties as assigned.
