Job summary

Home Market Foods in Norwood, MA is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator for 2nd shift (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 5:00pm-5:00am with occasional Saturdays). Starting pay is $20/hr based on experience. You will handle inbound/outbound freight, operate a stand-up forklift, and ensure inventory accuracy in a fast-paced food production warehouse.

Candidate should have a high school diploma, 2+ years shipping/receiving experience, and ERP familiarity. Bilingual in Spanish/Portuguese is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years' experience in shipping, receiving required.
• Experience with put-away/retrieval of pallets in a racked warehouse required.
• Experience loading & unloading trucks required.
• Familiar with warehouse documentation and processing requirements.
• Forklift certification for stand-up forklifts preferred.
• Average computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems required.
• Ability to read, write and take directions in English; bilingual in Spanish/Portuguese preferred.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Inventory Management Systems required.

Responsibilities

• Off-load inbound freight and maintain written documentation.
• MUST have experience using a stand-up forklift.
• Verify inbound freight bills and sign for materials.
• Post receipt or movement of products to NAV ERP system.
• Stage materials for production to prevent interruptions.
• Store or ship finished goods from designated area.
• Receive returns and re-rack as needed.
• Notify Warehouse Lead or Supervisor for inspection of incoming products.
• Maintain inventory accuracy.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Off-load all inbound freight and maintain written documentation of the transactions
• MUST have experience using a stand-up forklift
• Verify accuracy of inbound freight bills and signs for the material
• Post receipt or movement of any product to NAV ERP system
• Stage all material needed to successfully mix, produce and package products on all manufacturing lines, ensuring that production is not interrupted for lack of materials
• Store or ship all finished goods product from designated production area
• Receive returns from production and re-racks according to need
• Notify Warehouse Lead or Warehouse Supervisor for inspection of incoming products
• Maintain inventory accuracy
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two years' experience in shipping, receiving required
• Experienced in put-away / retrieval of pallets in racked warehouses required
• Experience in loading & unloading trucks required
• Familiar with warehouse documentation and processing requirements required
• Licensed/Certified to operate forklifts (specifically stand-up forklifts) and other warehouse equipment preferred
• Average computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems required
• Ability to read, write and take directions in English required; Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Inventory Management Systems required

Based in Norwood, MA, the Warehouse Forklift Operator will process receipt, storage, and shipment of finished goods and raw materials. This role is also responsible for staging materials for production, moving materials to and from the production floor, and maintaining an environment of safety and food safety.
