Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Material Handler in Wilmington, Illinois to support warehouse operations. Base pay starts at $21.00 per hour with a 3% increase after 1 year; schedules on C Shift and a Thursday–Saturday window.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License.

• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Diversity of shifts; punctual and good attendance.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand long periods.
• Health and safety methods must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License certified

• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during the core shift hour of production
• Perform other duties as assigned
