Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Gainesville, FL. The role supports distribution across the US and offers weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, and 401(k) benefits.

Typical duties include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation with attention to safety and accuracy. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and travel within the area up to 50% of the day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Able to lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors
• Able to travel within the area approximately 25-50% of the day

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping and receiving
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and related equipment
• Accurately pick, pack, audit and stage products; assist with cycle counting
• Record day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, BOLs, etc.)
• Support automated packing system maintenance during shift hours
• Adhere to safety policies and perform duties with minimal supervision

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $17.39 per hour
• Schedule: First Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a clean driving record and a personal vehicle and travel within the area approximately 25 - 50 % of the day
• Strong technical aptitude which includes using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, scanners and enter orders into a WMS System
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to work both indoors and outside

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
