Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Lincolnton, NC is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator. You will manage inbound items and operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in a clean, safe facility.

Work schedule is Mon-Fri 7:00am–3:30pm with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits starting after 30 days. Expect up to 50% travel within the area and emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Clean driving record and travel within the area ~25–50% of the day.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel; able to use scanners and enter orders into a WMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse duties including loading, picking, packing, shipping and receiving.
• Operate forklifts and assist with cycle counting and staging of products.
• Record day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for packaging equipment during core shift hours.
• Work independently and as part of a team while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $17.12 per hour
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a clean driving record anda personal vehicle and travel within the area approximately 25 - 50 % of the day
• Strong technical aptitude which includes usingMicrosoft Outlook, Word and Excel,scanners andenter orders into a WMS System
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to work both indoors and outside

Additional Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned
