Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator in North Aurora, Illinois. This role operates a stand up reach truck in a safe, organized warehouse with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Schedule is Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, 6:00am to 4:30pm. Responsibilities include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment.
• Punctual with good attendance record.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in warehouse (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay $19.00 per hour


• Additional Pay: $0.75 per hour shift differential

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred


• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
