Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in College Park, GA is hiring Material Handlers to join our warehouse team. This role involves forklift operation, order picking, packing, shipping and receiving with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One(1) year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Able to work in a diverse environment and maintain professional relationships.
• Punctual with good attendance; detail oriented; able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and perform warehousing duties (loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving).
• Maintain accuracy in picking, packing, and tote induction; assist with audits.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in warehouse environment (picking sheets, bills of lading).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours.
• Perform duties within contract performance guidelines and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Hourly Pay: $18.00 per hour
• Additional Hourly Pay: $0.50 per hour when working 2nd shift
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 12:30am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
