Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Burbank, CA is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator to support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and overall warehouse operations. This role involves loading/unloading, operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts, packing, and maintaining accurate records in Excel.

The position is full-time, temp-to-hire with Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm hours, starting at $22/hr.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving, or distribution.
• Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Forklift certification preferred (or ability to become certified).
• Experience with inventory management and cycle counting.
• Familiarity with UPS/FedEx shipping software and shipping label creation.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and email.
• Ability to create packing lists, invoices, and shipping documents.
• Strong attention to detail reading lot numbers and product information.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving functions, including loading and unloading shipments.
• Operate sit-down propane/electric forklifts, stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks safely.
• Pick, pull, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment.
• Process UPS and FedEx shipments and generate shipping labels.
• Create packing lists, invoices, and shipping documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and inventory control procedures.
• Stock shelves and organize warehouse inventory.
• Read lot numbers and verify product accuracy.
• Navigate warehouse bin locations and storage schematics to locate materials.
• Enter shipping, inventory, and logistics data into Excel, Word, and other company systems.
• Scan, email, log, and maintain warehouse documentation.
• Assist with general warehouse organization while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Support additional warehouse and logistics duties as assigned.
